About the Windows Application

Windows Remote Help v2.1 for Admin Users runs without installing and needs no configuration from your computer or network. It does not open up any venerability or back door into your system.

In the event that your antivirus warns you about this application it is a false positive. Your antivirus is probably set to warn you about Potentialy Unwanted Programs. The reason why this application falls under that category is becasue it has VNC remote control functionality built in which could be used for bad; but we will have it well under control and limits. However you can ignore your antivirus warning in this case becasue you want me to remote asist you and this application will not be accepting incomming remote connections from random and dangerous strangers.
See the full Virus Total Report from over 40 virus scanners.

NOTE: Windows Administrator Users UAC will confirm that you want to continue executing the application. In this case you should continue with execution. This is required for me to be able to assist you beyond UAC prompts. If you do not need to go beyond a UAC prompt then you can use this alternate Windows Remote Help v2 for Limited Users.

-- OR --

NOTE: Windows 'Limited User's UAC will prompt for an administrator account password. This is required for me to be able to assist you beyond UAC prompts. If you do not need to go beyond a UAC prompt then you can use this alternate Windows Remote Help v2 for Limited Users.

Once ran the program will live for up to 5 minutes waiting for a connection and for me to accept your session. If I do not Accept the session or we can not connect for some reason the application will terminate. The application will also automatically terminate once I exit the session or if I get disconnected.

NOTE: On Windows Vista, 7, 8, or Blue; Once the application dies windows may ask you if it installed properly; you may click CANCEL or THIS PROGRAM INSTALLED CORRECTLY, selecting REINSTALL USING RECOMMENDED SETTINGS will relaunch the application in XP compatibility mode. Don't worry, in this situation my remote help application didn't really install anything, it needed to run like an installer program to make this Reverse VNC (remote) connection work.

Instructions and Download for Windows.

  1. Run Windows Help Desk
If you do save it I suggest that you save it to your desktop.
In the event that you save the file, you will need to run it from the location you saved it.

About the Apple OS X - Help Desk

This app runs without installing as a portable and needs no configuration for your computer or network. It does not open up any venerability or back door into your system, you will use it to push a remote connection to me. It can be installed but only if you install it as a start up service. If you install this program then it is up to you to configure and lock it down unless you have me do it over remote.

Once ran the program will push a VNC connection to my Listener Client so I can help you. You will have to close the VNC app on your own, but it will not be accepting connections even if you leave it open. This is best done by the STOP and then QUIT menu options of the program.

Instructions and Download for Apple OS X.

  1. Apple OSx Help Desk
Launch the 'OSXvnc' application for help.
You should be auto-connected if not choose to do a reverse connection to KGA.GotDNS.com
